Ayrton Senna: A tribute to a legend.

Lord knows I hated Ayrton Senna.
I don’t watch Formula 1 anymore.  It’s become about the tech, not about the drivers.  Tiptronic transmissions… 300+kph…  where is the race?  That’s why I stopped watching.  But from the mid 80’s to the mid 90’s, I can say, I was a fan.

Legends like: Alain Prost (my god at the time… just amazing), Niki Lauda, Nigel Mansell

But Senna was in a league of his own.  It is only now that I can lay a tribute to this wonderful driver.
In the words of Frank Sinatra… he did things his way.
And he was the best damn driver I’ve ever seen.  In 1 minute he could thrill you more than any other driver could  in a whole season… sorry Alain.

This is how he lived:

This is how he died:

The day it happened:

I can’t seem to imbed… but you have to watch it:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YEy0HER5Dc

Update:  Alat found this this good link… so I’m posting it now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lc_U3KUDB0

Mike Schumacher breaks down at 34 seconds.  Low blow by that so called journalist.  Micheal was there when it happened, on Senna’s six… he was bloody there.

This is my tribute to a racing Legend.  Formula 1 has to scale things back.  Manual transmissions, 2.0L engines, 4 or 6 cylinders, NA or turbo.  Less focus on technology, more focus on racing and Drivers.
